- To become a leasing agent in Illinois, individuals must meet certain licensing requirements set by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR.
Licensing Requirements
- Age: Applicants must be at least 18 Years of age
- Education: High School or GED graduate
- Pre-Licensing Education: Complete a state-approved 15-hour leasing agent pre-license course
- Examination: Pass the Illinois Leasing Agent License State/National
- Application and Fees: Submit an application for licensure and pay required fees.
- Sponsorship: Have a sponsoring broker or brokerage firm
Once licensed leasing agents in Illinois must adhere to state laws and regulations governing real estate practices and may need to complete continuing education courses to maintain their license.

Refund Policy:
A full refund is given (less the $50.00 processing fee) if you drop the course before the first class and all materials must be returned in good condition. No refunds will be returned after the class has started.
Retake Policy:
A student may retake the course within (1) year of the completion of the session first attended for a $150.00 fee per retake.
Students will receive a certificate of completion upon passing our course and are then eligible to take the State Exam.
